Holding onto summer

There isn't much time left.  Each day gets us closer and closer to the first day of school.  Each day gets us closer to returning to reality.  Each day is an excuse to squeeze in as much extra fun as we possibly can. 

We're making the most of trips to Newburyport with family.  Walks on the waterfront, playing at the playground, and eating pizza on a park bench.

We're clocking as much pool time as possible before it gets too cold.  The water that was once like bath water, a beauitful inviting temperature that allowed us to float around easily for an hour or more, now chases us out after about 30 minutes with slightly blue tinged lips but we can't give it up quite yet. 

My brave little girl.  Taking care of her boo-boos. But even  a  trip on the porch can't keep her from pool time. 

Where did this sassy stance come from? 

We're making our trips to the playground and playing in the yard.  We're not letting summer go without a fight! :)
