After a wonderful week in Virginia we were ready to head home and settle in for a few days.
We drove , and drove, and drove. Luckily traffic was pretty good and the views were great!

Lillie recieved Speedy, the turtle, as a birthday present from Aunt Mari. It quickly won family fame as a head rider. He spent time riding on everyone's head (and other random places) during the loooong ride home.
We made good time until we reached Massachusetts, where we found that every main highway on our route was closed. It took us over 3 hours to get from Worcester to home. After that late night we really relaxed and settled in on Saturday. Lillie helped daddy put together her new birthday present, a bike from Grandma and PopPop.
She was so overwhelmed by everything and happy to be home that she had to explore her room during naptime .... and promptly fell asleep in the corner of her floor.

After naptime it was time for some splashing around and cooling off in the pool.
