Cape Cod 2011: Part 1: The house

Immediately following Brian and Emily's wedding the whole family took a trip down to Cape Cod.  There was a revolving door of family members over the course of the week.  Some people stayed for just a few hours, some a few days, and some stayed all week.   We did so many things: mini-golf, wine tours and tastings, going to the beach, baseball games, and ate a LOT of wonderful food and ice cream.  We probably took about 1,000 pictures (possibly just a little excessive ...).   There is so much to share I think we'll break it into a few different posts.

Up first ... the house. My dad rented a house in Dennis for the week.  It was a great house.

When you first walk in the door there was a great family room with a large TV, huge sectional sofa, and wet bar.

Just out the door there was a great backyard complete with cozy hamock, outdoor shower, woodden deck, new grill, and table (we had a good majority of our dinners and breakfasts out there when we were actually home for meals.)  It was also a prime star gazing location.

There was a kitchen, dining room, and living room that was great for just sitting and chatting (Meghan and I were esp fond of curling up in the window).

Then there were 4 bedrooms upstairs: a master suite, a queen room, a room with 2 twins, and an office with a trundle bed.  (Somehow I managed to get no pictures up there.)
