Thankful - Day 11

Happy Veterans Day.  We decided that today was a good day to go visit dad's grave site.  We figured that the importance of the day was appropriate. We didn't realize at the time just how right we were. 

We hadn't been back since the day of his ceremony.  I think I'm glad that we waited.  As we drove past the cemetary to the gate we started to see all the flags.  There was a flag at every marker ... 1,000's upon 1,000s of American flags.  It was quite a sight. Upon entering the gate the entrance was lined with full sized flags. 

It was a pretty busy day. There were families and friends everywhere.  It was kind of cool to see so much support and love. 

Very thankful for those who serve so the rest of us can feel safe.
