Warm and happy thoughts

It's two days before Halloween and we sit waiting for the 2nd snow fall of the year.  It's too early for this (esp since we just had 80 degree days a week or 2 ago.)  I'd rather take this time reflecting on the last glimmer of summer this year.  We recently discovered that there is a playground here in town so Lillie has made a few trips with grandma and/or with us.  She loves the swings and the slides.

Tonight ... ??? When did winter come?

When I went outside I kept hearing tree limbs cracking.  Who knows what we will find when we go out tomorrow.  The combination of trees with the leaves still on and the heavy wet snow can't be good. Something tells me our poor dogwood is pretty much done for.  There is currently only 1 part that is still standing (slightly left of center) most of the branches are touching the ground.

And now .. off to find the flashlights and candles because we just had a 15 second power blip .... hoping we don't have any more of them.
