On Columbus Day we finally made our yearly trip to Russel Orchards for apple picking. (Okay, okay, it's only the 2nd year we've gone but I think it's certainly GOING to be a yearly trip.) We arrived early in the day and things were pretty quiet. It was warm but still ccool and comfortable. We were surprised to find that they weren't charging the $3.00 per person fee for the hayride (yay!). We got out to the orchard, purchased our bag ($15 for a peck), and set off to roam through the trees.
We went fairly late in the season apparently so things were a little picked over. We had to search a little harder for good apples but that actually made it more fun. Lillie loved looking for the apples and wanted to eat them right away.
These 2 made a lovely banging noise as Lillie smashed them together. Applesauce anyone???
Dada, can I help?
Ooops!
Oh look, Mama came too!
