Futures at Fenway

The day Lillie's obsession with Wally began.  We went to Futures at Fenway last year and loved it so much we decided that we had to go back.  Last year we went with a small crew and kind of expected to end up with a larger crew this year .... as luck would have it life happened and it wound up just being the 3 of us.  A rare but wonderful family trip.

The t-shirt she's wearing here is actually my brother's shirt.  It was his when he was little.  She now switches off calling it  her baseball shirt OR her Uncle Paul shirt.  It is currently her favorite article of clothing and she will rifle through her drawer to find it and try to change into it during nap time.

Darth Vadar using the force to send in the ball for the first pitch.

Putting green set up behind our seats.

Lillie enjoyed it but didn't really care about the baseball at all. She wanted to get up and move.  And once she started moving she was searching for  our favorite and very lovable green monster.  Wally the Green Monster.  She looked all over the park and found every version of Wally she possibly could.  Daddy even got her a Wally to bring home with her.  She has carried him around with her ever since.

Wally's House - -aka "The Fenway Park"  (and yes, you have to say THE Fenway)

Photo op with Mommy while on the hunt for Wally.

We found Wally.

In the first picture it looks like she's trying to run away ... really she just wanted me to get off the bench.  Once I got up she didn't want to move.  I had to peel her away so other people could take their pictures.

Darth Vadar!

Wally!!!

He's right there mommy!

Squeeze him tight. .... by the nose.

Here's Wally!

Looking soooo exhausted but amazingly she didn't fall asleep.
