A trip to the PEM

Megs came up to visit and we decided that instead of just spending the day at home or running errands we would go "do" something for once.  We decided to try out the Peabody Essex Museum because we've been hearing good things about it for years but have never had an opportunity to go yet.  We arrived and were happy to find out that each of use were able to get a discounted ticket.  I got in free with my MTA card, George got a dollar off with his AAA card, Megs was able to get a few dollars off with her student discount and Lil was still young enough to get in free.  All-in-all we can't complain that 4 of us got in for less than the price of 2 tickets.

Our first stop (after dropping off coats in the coat check) was the Interactive Art & Nature Center.  They had a great exhibit all about water and most of it was hands on. Lillie had a great time making ripples, painting with water, and making smoke. We spent at least half of our time at the museum in this exhibit and would highly recommend it.

After the water exhibit we wandered through some other exhibits.  They have a lot of Asian art.  Lillie was enthralled by these 2 lions.

Lillie wasn't too excited about alot of the art so she was very chatty.  We found a nice exhibit about old records, captain's journals, and other rare old documents.  George and Megs were enthralled by the documents but Lillie and I kept wandering to find something a little more visually exciting for her.  She was far more interested in the boats

After the museum we stopped into Beer Works for lunch and took a walk through the cemetary. (Is Lillie not the cutest as she walks with daddy in one hand and holding onto the stroller with the other one??)

Ending the day with some Lillie air kisses ... mwah!
