She has been pulling herself to standing and cruising along the furniture for a while now but in the last week she started using her walker and walking from one end of the room to the other. She doesn't know how to steer yet but it is only a matter of time.
She is a big fan of playing in the play kitchen. She also seemed to enjoy sledding (at least on the days it wasn't super cold).
Talking/signs: Lots of sounds but still no words. We do think she is starting to make signs for please and more, not consistently but she is starting to. She'll make the sign and then get very angry if we aren't fast enough.
Teeth: 5!!! With a few more on the way. She got 3 teeth in the course of about 2 weeks. It was a very cranky 2 weeks but eating is much easier now. She can actually bite into things and chew on them a little bit.
Sleeping: She takes at least 2 naps a day, though the time varies. Then at night she is sleeping from 9:00/10:00 - 6:30/7:00. She will occasionally whimper a few times a night but grabs her pacifier (or needs to be given her pacifier) and will usually settle right back to sleep.
Eating/Drinking: She is drinking at least 24 oz of milk a day. We got the ok to slowly switch over to whole milk. It seems early but we're going really slow. She is currently taking .5 oz in most 8oz bottles. She is doing alright with a sippy cup of water, finally understanding the purpose and gladly drinking water. We tried a straw cup just this week and she loves it.
We've really been working on finger food this month. Lots of potato and squash cubes. Various types of pasta, peas, cooked carrots, and some cheese. Early on in the month she would grab a fistful of food and shove it into her mouth. In the past week she's been starting to use the pincer grip and pick things up between her thumb and pointer finger.
Height/Weight: ____ lbs ___ oz, 29 inches long. The infant carrier is not going to last much longer. We predict she will outgrow it by the end of the month.
