Going back in time. A month in review: May 2012

I know I've missed most of June and July but in reviewing my picture files it looks like I missed a great deal of May too.  Apparently things got crazy with the end of the school year before things just got crazy. I'm going to go back and fill in a few gaps while I still have a few moments of Lillie nap time and before I hit the road again.

May found us dealing with a lot of rain.  Lillie  was lucky enough to recieve a delivery in the mail with her infamous yellow rain boots.  They were a size 8 and she wore a size 6 so they were a bit largebut still fit pretty welll as long as she was just walking around (not so helpful on the swings when they just slipped off) but they gave nough coverage for stomping and splashing in puddles.  They looked esp fabulous with her new yellow rain coat.

We were preparing for a big event ... Meghan's graduation and  "Congratulation Party" as it was nicely dubbed by Lil.  In preparation for the party George tore all the railings off the deck 1 week before the party. That's pretty much our normal ... have a big party coming up soon ... time to do major home reno projects!!! It was a little crazy.  He wound up doing lots of work late into the evenings while being bombarded by bugs, in the rain, or in the crazy unseasonable heat.  He got it done and it does look great !  

We also celebrated Mother's Day out at Grammy's  house.

We visited with friends for Memorial Day weekend.  The dads were a bit outnumbered by the number of girls.

We even had some fun family reading time.  Yay for bedtime stories all cuddled up together.
