A clearing in the rain

It has been raining for the better part of the past 2 weeks.  It has caused quite a bit of stir craziness around here when it hasn't caused grumpiness and frustration from the little one who wants to spend her days outside.

The positive side of all the rain is that some days turn out to be clear and sunny just like today.  It really was an unexpected breath of fresh air from all the gloom. I fear that the rain is making a speedy return tomorrow.  Luckily Lillie received a package in the mail last week, a pair of bright yellow rain boots covered with cars and trucks.  She has already happily broken them in by splashing in puddles up and down the driveway and playing in the sandbox over the weekend. 

If nothing else hopefully we will be blessed with more rainbows between the raindrops.  We've seen them on multiple occasions over the past few weeks.
