Happy Belated Halloween

It's been an interesting couple of days.  We had a decent sized snow storm over the weekend but lucked out here at home and managed to keep our power unlike many others who have been powerless for multiple days.  Due to power outages in the district we even had a "snow day" or "outage day" on Halloween.  I was very appreciative for the unexpected 3 day weekend.  School has been going alright.  I'm enjoying the change to 2nd grade most days but as with any change there are occasional growing pains.

The break on Monday was refreshing.  I spent the morning playing with Lillie. Then we went out to run a few errands and split a lunch at Panera.  We finished off the day with a delightful Skype chat with Megan and Cam.  It was so fun watching the little ones alternately go off and play on their own/ come up to the computer to "chat".  We never have trick or treaters come up to the house and Lillie is too young to remember anything so we just hung out and did our normal Monday night thing.

We did dress her up a little bit.  She came to school on Friday to visit my class party and was supposed to be Tinkerbell but through a random sequence of events she never made it into her costume.  We played with it at home though ... of course.
