New things: She is responding to her name, waving, rocking on all fours, almost crawling (still doing the inch worm), attracted to wires and shiny electronic things like phones, stereos, remote control (aka the "stick of power"), and cameras. She loves standing and keeps her back straight when someone tries to put her down which results in backbends because she doesn't want to sit. Squealing with excitement/laughter, dropping things and waiting for someone to pick them up because she doesn't have the go-go-Gadget arms that she thinks she does. She is enjoying picking up teeny tiny things off the floor which means we have to vaccum all the time and watch her like a hawk. She also seems to be getting ticklish ... esp her feet and tummy.

Teeth: Still only 2 teeth. Been very drooly lately and a little fussier in the evenings/ overnight so another one may be moving towards the surface.

Sleeping: ***knock on wood*** Do we dare say it in print? Lillie is a great sleeper. She usually takes 2 naps a day for about an hour a piece. Then overnight we put her down around 8:00pm and she will sleep until 6:30ish on work days and 7:00ish on the weekends. Who is going to complain about a baby sleeping for about 11 hours straight? Not us!!!

Eating new foods: We tried her first meat (yummy chicken). We also tried to venture more into veggies so we introduced carrots and white potatoes (she already loved sweet potatoes. In the finger food category she started eating cheesey puffs. She ate bananas and cottage cheese but neither were huge hits. We also started to add a tiny bit of cinnamon and other spices to some of the foods that she already liked. So far we still have a pretty wonderful non-fussy eater. We just hope she stays this way!

Drinking: We are slowly introducing the sippy cup. She enjoys playing with her sippy cup more than actually drinking out of it. There is a valve in it that lets her drink if she wants but keeps it from leaking or we can take the valve out to make the liquid flow easier. Sometimes we just give her the cup with the valve closed and let her do what she will to get used to it. About 10% of the time she actually holds it to her mouth and the other 90 % of the time it's a fun toy. Thank goodness we just put water in it because we always end up with puddles whenever we open the valve.
