D-day.... long gone

D-day has come and gone. We are now 2 days past due and continuing to wait for Baby P's fashionably late arrival. Dad-to-be is trying to keep himself busy with work. Mom-to-be is slowly doing random housework and trying to stock up on relaxation time.

While we wait we are dealing with major itchiness too. In some ways it's nice because it's helping to keep our minds off the waiting. Poor Delta has been having skin issues for a few months now. For the longest time everyone thought it was allergies but about 2 weeks ago we discovered that the real culprit was a roll of fiber glass insulation that she found tucked away and thought made a nice pillow. We are doing everything possible to help her deal as she slowly gets rid of all the fiber glass shards in her skin. She's scratching herself raw and losing lots of hair. It'll be a few months as we go through this whole process but we are happily thinking that we are finally moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, Delta is not the only one itching. I'm currently dealing with some unexpected allergies and hives. Not the most fabulous feeling when 40 weeks pregnant. We're not really sure what triggered it but Benadryl and Claritin are helping a little bit (only so many options for meds at this point.)
